Navajeevana's 2010 Annual Report is
published
July 2011
Navajeevana's 2010 Annual Report has
been
published and is now available to download. The report looks at our
achievements in 2010 and some of the challenges that this year
presented.
Mr Nandaratne, Navajeevana's Programme Director said:
"Navajeevana is an organisation that has come a long way since its
humble beginnings over two decades ago. It has grown rapidly but
steadily into a big organisation serving many thousands of people.
"In 2010 we were able to increase our service area to serve people with
disabilities over ten DS (local government) divisions in the Matara and
Hambantota districts.
"With the untiring efforts of Navajeevana staff and volunteers we have
been able to serve the varying rehabilitation needs of a growing number
of people with disabilities, whose needs have ranged from mental health
care to mobility aids and accessories, physiotherapy, communication
therapy, special education and livelihood development.
"We are particularly grateful for the support and encouragement of CBM,
Basic Needs, Lilianne Fonds, Motivation, DDM, Friends of Navajeevana
UK, our own Board of Directors and, of course, our beneficiaries."
The report was produced by Leonora Merry who volunteered for
Navajeevana in 2008 and continues to support us in our marketing and
communications.
