clients CBR: Our clients Navajeevana's community based rehabilitation programme works with over 2000 clients. With over forty staff and numerous volunteers the CBR programme works through community volunteers in nine Divisional Secretary (local government) divisions and 333 Grama Niladhari (town government) divisions in two districts- Hambantota and Matara. Each client has a rehabilitation plan - often for two years - which is regularly reviewed and his or her progress plotted. Each plan could involve one or more of the clinical/ production services offered by Navajeevana, including speech therapy, physiotherapy, special education, aids such as spectacles, hearing aids or wheelchairs, prosthetic aides etc. The rehabilitation workers and volunteers also look at motivating and training the family members to address the special requirements of such clients and to improve the living standards and social mobility of such persons with disability
